Single Fixed/Single Movable With The Effort Going Up andDown
A pulley is a wheel with a grooved rim for carrying a line that turns in a frame or block that serves to change direction or to transmit force. One end is pulled to lift a load at the other end.

Life without pulleys would be exceedingly annoying. Pulleys are used for multiple things such as raising flags, pulling heavy building material, or lifting any heavy material. Pulleys provide a very helpful advantage, they can make the load seem like it weighs less depending on the number of ropes supporting the load. The number of ropes supporting the load is the number of times less the load will weigh. But, with every advantage comes a disadvantage. The number of ropes supporting the load is the number of times further you must pull.
